What are your top picks ? Haven't bass fished in years.

I really don't want to use live bait, sorry, should have clarified. Even worms and crickets freak me out.

Looking for something I can get at Wal Mart or order from amazon.

OP, there's no wrong lure. I can't catch a fish to save my life on a spinnerbait, but others here excel with them. Don't focus on a magic bait. Just get some plastic worms and lizards, spinnerbaits, buzz baits, crankbaits, and jigs. You can cover any situation with that list.

You're doing something wrong. I was loading the boat in the spillway with them.

general mix of both - H&H or Humdinger.

Going to rape some lunkers in Guntersville with YUM! Dingers(see below) next month. Also the classic ZOOM pumpkin lizard has always worked great for me.


If there are bass around, they will bite a YUM! Dinger.
