Barrel length - AR 10 .308

I research new purchases like a would a trip to the moon, which has led me to this point. I don't like it, but I can't stop.
I'm about to purchase a Daniel Defense AR-10 in .308 and I'm torn between a 16" barrel or an 18". It will be suppressed.
I've read that the 16" is not long enough to provide a complete powder burn for this cartridge, thus affecting it's performance. My question is - will the added length of the suppressor provide the additional barrel length to alleviate this, or not? (My first suppressor, so not very educated on how this works.) What would you choose?
Also, if I'm completely wrong here, please correct me.
This will be for deer and hogs. Shots 150 yds or less.

150 yards or less I’d go 16 inch all day with a can on it.
I’ve got a CA 16 inch carbon fiber bolt gun in .308 and I haven’t picked up anything else since.
16 inch with a primal can on it. Makes it really easy and light with the shorter barrel. 95% of my shots are 70 to 150 yards.

No issue with the 16" plus can on a 308 gun.

The MV difference between a 16” and 18” barrel is going to be minimal and can be somewhat mitigated by load selection. Yes the suppressor will increase MV slightly, but not to the extent barrel length will and the increase isn’t substantial, more something hand loaders need to watch with hot loads. Get the 16” and don’t look back, you’ll have a handy rig even with the added length of the suppressor and at 150 yards the critter is going to be dead.

Ive got a 18" barrel on my 308. Would rather a 16". For a 150yrd shot that 308 in 16" barrel will be plenty.

16 inch. Honestly could do a 12.5 or 14.5 too. 150 yards is nothing lol.

16" is plenty for 150 yd shots. Hell, 16" is good for hunting up to about 500-600yds with a 308.

ETA: A lighter (but within normal .308 weights) bullet will add far more velocity than a few inches of barrel. 16" all day long if you're going to hang a suppressor off the end.
