Bank Fishing From Livingston to North Shore

Any recommendations for bank fishing spots for pan fish? I tried Lake Rd in Bayou Lacombe 2 weekends ago but I would like to get closer to the water. Just a beginner that would like to get into fishing more. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Honestly I don't mind a 2 hour drive in any direction from BR.

Tickfaw State Park
Take old Hwy 51 between Hammond and LaPlace and fish under I-55 elevated parts
Spillway in LaPlace. The road runs all the way to Lake Pontchartrain - You can get to it off Airline Hwy in LaPlace
