Just got back in town and needed a brake tag since Oct so I stopped at older full service station downtown on Thomas Street. Went ahead and purchased $100.00 of pumped regular...

Drove about 20 blocks and my truck died! Bucked rumbled and every light on the dash was on. Finally got AAA to run me to RD Chevrolet..They called me next morning and my gas is pretty evenly divided H2O and gas....Well the cost is almost a grand to drain tank and clean fuel rail and injectors. Call the station owner and he was butt hurt. Outraged I would even suggest his gas was bad. That no one else had problems and that he was sure someone was pranking me...

WTF can a person do to get some kind of satisfaction, or who can I report this to.. Kept all time stamped paperwork, recipts and a sample of the gas.

the texaco station pumps at the corner of flannery road and old hammond hwy were shut down a few weeks ago because of the same thing. state police showed up and put the hiatus to gas sales until they got right.

Isn't the Dept of Ag in charge of gas pumps? I thought I always saw Mike Strains name on every pump

Man this sounds like something I do not want to be a part of. I can only imagine the run around you are fixing to get. Hope it all works out for you.

My gas update. Today the Dept of Agriculture sent someone out to check the tanks at the source of the gas. Nice thing is the Chevy dealership gave me samples of what they found in my tank. More than water some kind of floating red fuzzy slime. So I wait for the outcome from the state inspector.

Best part of the whole deal is Liberty Mutual is all in for the documented cost minus a deductable. But they will geaux after the money and if they can recover all costs they will refund the deductable.

Guess I always see my glass half empty but this worked out ok. Except that my truck was in the shop for a week.

I got bad gas at the end of the line grocery , but my brand new truck quit 150 yards from the pumps and would not start. Had it towed to dealership and thats about what my bill was. Called the store and they paid for everything with no hassle.
