Sheephead are good eating. Don't let anyone tell you any difference. Only problem with them is they are harder to clean than most fish.

Sheaphead are very good, usually people don't keep that many because they are a bitch to clean

The Venice local crowd can be kind of rough. It's usually a mix of local commercial fisherman with local and out of town oilfield workers. With that said, I am from Venice so I know exactly what that statement means.
