I was about 8-9 yrs old a buddy and me are spending the night at his grandmothers. Old Alabama Plantation home right on the Alabama river just south of Selma. Absolutely beautiful grounds and they were wrecking the Orchard, garden and flower beds. She said she would pay us $5 an armadillo, I'm sure thinking we may catch one or two. We caught twelve, all that night, and collected $30 a piece. Put them in the dog pen and they dug right out by morning. None left. Grandmother woke us the next AM with her hand out. Gave her the money back and went on our way.

Thats pretty funny

My grandaddy had one in a live trap once.....had my younger brother standing by on the shotgun......gonna release and blast.

He missed, and the look my grandaddy gave him was the purest look of disappointment and disgust I may have ever seen.

We gave him heck, and it was funnier because he's pretty much a stone cold killer.
