Has anyone ever been? I’m just starting to do some preliminary searches. Prices?

Just had a Cous trip cancelled due to Safety concerns in Sonora. Looking to use the refund on another trip.

A group of friends and me got drunk and won a trip at a DU banquet a couple years back for $3500. We thought “Sweet, split 5 ways, $700 each, we just got a steal!” Then they handed us our winners packet and we realized all we actually “won” was the lodge stay. We still had to buy airfare ($2400), transportation to and from airport ($150 each way), gun rental ($175 a day), not to mention shells were $12.50 per box. And people were killing around 700 doves a day. Many try joining the 1000 bird club. Still had to pay for tips too. There were some more fees I can’t remember. Finale price was around 6k for everything. In the field they feed you sandwich’s, but you got an authentic Argentina meal at night. Only offered local beer and whiskey so if you wanted a certain brand you were responsible for getting it. And all doves must be left there when you stay is over.

I have been several times. It will probably be 5-7,000 all inclusive by the time you pay for shells. It is worth every penny. You will see more doves in a single day than in 5 years of state side hunts. Duck hunting is off the charts. Go dove first as it makes the duck hunt like shooting fish in a barrel. Best money I ever spent hunting, period.

Damn that is expensive. I payed $3500 to hunt 3 days up in Alberta and I thought that was pricey. But then again all that matters is you have a good time. You can't bring money with you when you are dead and gone.

I hear it's well worth it. What I am getting back from my cancelled trip would be enough for one person to go. I just have to decide if I want to pay another $5-7k for my dad.

I second Ramsey Russell at Getducks.com. That Rio Salada trip is at the top of my bucket list.
