On your trip to Bastrop, I'd recommend you drive up using Hwy 165 from Alexandria through Columbia onto Bastrop,LA.
That way when in Columbia stop at Spotted Dog Outdoors. They have a large collection of both new and used guns. You might find something there that catches your eye. Their website is below, but it isn't set up for online sales. If not just stay on Hwy 165 to Bastrop and Simmons Sporting Goods.

Puglias, Cabelas in Gonzales, Bass Pro in Spanish Fort (not LA but easy drive from NOLA/BR), Bowie in BR, stock is not great but had camo 12g at each.
Good luck! I was going to buy a new one myself but hunting trip got canceled, so pushing off purchase til after xmas or later in season.

The Gun Shop off of Jackson Street Extension in Alexandria had a few Beretta's in stock when I was there yesterday picking up a transfer. Now things sell fast there but maybe give them a call and see if they have anything in stock. I also saw a bunch Benelli boxes behind the counter as well when I was there.
