I've heard mixed things about the 50 round mag. Some say its junk. What's the best brand to buy?

I don't have a 50 rounder. I have no clue what the best brand would be.

I would think something that holds that many rounds would give problems in the long run. JMO.
Hey, it's only a .22 Jack!

If you buy a 50 rd mag, get the BX-50

I do not own a 10/22. I own multiple 10/22s. They are great for customizing for cheap. Mini versions of ARs, if you will. I can shoot the hair off a gnats arse at 100 yards, thats a fact, Jack.

Ruger mags are the best. Butler Creek metal lips are the only other option. I have several banana mags and other large capacity mags but none are reliable.

When your wife, who doesn't really care about guns, won't trade you hers for your Remington 597, you know it's a good gun.

Ruger makes a 25 round now - I've haven't used them, but they're reported to be money. There's no reason to experiment with 50s.

I bought one years ago for my son. I love it. I was in Bass Pro last Thursday and they had one for 249. I should have picked it up. Academy gets them for 199 so I keep telling myself next time in there if they have one Ill get it.
I should have spent the extra 50

The ruger BX25 mags are solid, but the hard part is finding any at a reasonable price right now.

I own two 10-22s and an assortment of magazines. I have a 50 rd that is made by Ram Line I think. Never had a problem with it but its a pain to load to capacity. Most of the time I just use a 25 rd steel lips.

I have been looking at the HC3R mags. Looks pretty solid.

Ruguers BX-25 mags looks good.

I am not convinced on Beaver Creek though.

As soon as 22LRs come back down to reasonable prices and their availiablity becomes more apparent, I am gonna go to range a lot more.

Steel lips are pretty good.

Hot lips suck donkey balls.

I'm going to get the takedown version. I think it's over $300.

I have that one. Good compact rifle, but can't really say its worth the price yet. Would be really good in a SHTF situation though.
