The 20v dewalt stuff sucks anyway IMO. Unfortunately all my shite is 20v dewalt

The battery life is abysmal

I have a lot of DeWalt 20V stuff and have zero issues running 4 & 5Ah batteries. They use the same Samsung lithium cells pretty much all major brands use too, no difference unless you buy into the marketing hype of each brand.

My old man has older 18v dewalt stuff and it goes much farther than my dinky 20v stuff does. Seems like I can get about 5 cuts from the skill saw before it goes down the tubes. I built a pirouge with dads on 4 charges.

Have 40ah batteries not run much yet maybe 30 minutes. When the damn rain stops will run it until drained.

I cut and ripped nearly a dozen 3/4" decking panels for my workshop walls on a single 5Ah battery and that was with swapping it into the sawzall to trim a few studs to frame in the windows. The old 18V stuff, even with the newer Li-ion battery packs for them, only have 3.0Ah unless you get the clunky adapter to use the 20V line batteries. I gave my dad my old 18V XRP drill and driver and my fiancée got my 14.4V XRP kit, the 20V tools are simply better and if I need more than 5.0Ah batteries I can get a bigger 20V version or the 60V ones. There's no way I'd go back to the old stuff, I make money with these tools.

Update: this little thing is phenomenal. I would recommend it to anyone. I bought the weed eater for the extra battery and for obviously using the weed eater. The 7.5ah battery I got about 100 cuts through pin oak and live oak. It cut the oak MUCH better than I thought it would. The 6ah battery didn’t last as long and it was noticeable. I’m glad I got it.
