Pretty steep at $1500 msrp and they are selling out. Curious as to fit and finish and trigger pull. I always liked the older Smiths vs. Colt on the trigger.

Hickok45 did a review and really liked it until it had issues advancing the cylinder.

Him and others have had issues, mechanical and cosmetic. This is a product whose launch Colt really can't afford to screw up like this. Though I'm sure owners of originals that have paid an inflated premium are grinning. At this point a Ruger GP100 MC is 90% the new Python but half the price and unquestionably reliable and durable.

I've owned a GP100 before and its a fine revolver but ugly as sin and the trigger is a little clunky/stagey. Smith triggers are much better. Hope Colt gets the cylinder problems ironed out. That is a beautiful revolver.

I have heard some pretty blantant QC issues on them.
Barrel crown jagged and rough and something about the cylinder lock up (don't remember what exactly) being a couple off the top of me head.
