Not much to tell. Guys we saw catching were using a cork.
My buddy caught his on a red craw trap and I caught mine on a red craw one knocker.

I'll be out there Saturday. Think we are fishing north end of the lake though.

Any reports?

If you go to Toledo, go shallow and power fish. Pitch creature baits, lizards or jigs and throw a spinner bait mixed in. The Molix 1/2 ounce is fantastic.

Heading to Toledo Friday night. Went to the Dr. Today, he said my pneumonia from 3 weeks ago is still running me down. I told him, give me a shot, give me meds, but I'll be on the lake every weekend until April.
Heard they were slamming them up north.
We may try Patroon and 1215 this weekend. We started south 2 weeks ago and are really pre fishing for our vacation.
If the fish are on we will stay 10 days from March 17th on.....

I am going to head up there sometime during the week next week. Hope to find some sacs and a few bass.

Keep me up to date if you hear anything. I think I still got your number.

Weather will be warm but so far bluebird days. Find heavy cover or fish deep. There should be some monsters under grass if you can find it. Good Luck.

It will depend on my dad's doctor appointment. We will probably stay around our place and beat some bushes. I have heard good things happening in the back of San Miguel.

Caught 2 nice ones throwing a black red lizards in the bushes but the water was a little murky. Once I found them they seem to be a few in each spot. Other spots had nothing. Also caught some throwing a watermelon red grub in clearer water inside grass beds

My buddy went yesterday and caught 8 keepers. Said all were between 2 and 3.5 pounds. Some caught flipping a jig, some on spinnerbaits.

Honestly if you launch in the cove you want to fish, you might be able to get away with an 18' boat. I personally would never try and cross Toledo with any urgency in a boat shorter than 20'.

You can fish Toledo in a 16' aluminum boat, but it'll get hairy tryin to cross it in bad weather. 18-19' glad boat, you can do most anything you wanna do.........almost.
