Anyone ever fished Guste Island area on the northshore of Lake P

Its off hwy 22 between madisonville and Ponchatoula. Anyone got any tips for that area (besides watch out for lots of gators) for a boat less fisherman new to the area? Thanks in advance

Got some democrats that fish down yonder in one of them canals. Other than that I really haven't seen anyone fish back there. Even the people who live in port louie that have their own docks don't have boats in the water save maybe 1 or 2.
Good duck hunting though. Would like to find a way into that club one day.

I think King Ranch has fished it before. He's around here somewhere furiously replying to 8 threads at once.
