But to that point, I’ve never vac sealed shrimp. Always froze them in water/ zip lock bags
For shrimp I freeze in loaf pan filled with water. It works best if you fill pan halfway with deheaded shrimp and water, freeze, then top off with water and freeze again. the first chunk of ice keeps the shrimp tails submerged for the second freeze leaving the shrimp completely surrounded in a smooth block of ice. I then vacuum seal the block. May be overkill but it stacks easier than frozen bags of water, no sharp tails to puncture the bags and it works for me.

Vacmaster VP112. That was the lowest model in the line, I paid about $525 for it about three years ago. It works great and it has a port to pull vacuum on jars too.

If its good enough Steve Rinella it should be good for any sportsman.

yall ever use these for food grade shrimp?

I've seen them for bait shrimp. Would think they'd be easier than ziplock bags but not sure if they'd freeze shrimp for frying, as well.

I know some guys from Kaplan that use those, they seem to work well.
