My insulated hunting boots are done and need new ones but didn't wanna make a rushed purchase for this weekend. Thinking I can get some of these and when I climb in the stand take off my work boots and throw some hot hands in there and be good to go

I looked at them but ended up going with the rechargeable ThermaCELL sole inserts for my waders two years ago with the remote fob. They work great. When the toes start getting cold, just turn them on low for 10 minutes and I'm good for an hour. Not unusual in southeast MO to be 20* in the duck blind in Dec. My old blood doesn't flow north to south as fast as it used to.

This is exactly what I did hunting in Saskatchewan. Worked perfectly.

I had some Rockys 800g that I loved. Had them a long time and I think the insulation eventually wore out... Or im just getting older and cant handle the cold as well. Had them about 8 years.

Had them in the shed over the summer and yellow jackets filled them with paper mache like nest so had to chunk them

Where I hunt the most you rarely have to get in any mud so Im gonna try and find a some insulated shoe type boots. Hate having 3 layers of pants bunched up on 8 inch high top boots

Sucks for me finding boots when your shoe size is a 15

Just how God made me. I hate getting into shooting houses from being so tall.

How long have you had these. Wondering how well they work and how long do they last one charge?
Lotta "how's" in there

I believe I got this tip here at the OB. I go with ankle socks and put the toe warmers on top then go with some merino wool socks on. I wear Muck Woody Max with this setup and my toes never get cold.

Going on my 3rd year. As far as how long a charge last, on medium setting, about 8 hours. On high, good for 6 hours. I have the cheapest model insoles and they're good for 500 charges. The higher price insoles have more capacity,a removable and replaceable battery.

I never turn them on for more than 10 minutes an hour. Just long enough to warm up the feet, but not induce sweating.

Hey Fish,

I got them at Gander Mountain. Cabelas have them also. I saw the red pair I have on sale for under a $100 last week. The red insoles are somewhat stiff but that works pretty well in waders. The more expensive ones have more of an athletic flex insole.

I did this last year inside a pair of insulated Sorrel boots when we had that ice storm. After sitting for about 20min, I couldn't get those things out fast enough as it felt like my feet were on fire!

I bought mine after hunting with a guy who was using them. We usually are in blinds now & they make a difference. I never have issues if we're standing in water, but that doesn't happen as often as it used to.
