My catahoula Tank just showed up with a mouth full of blood and all over his face. I think he caught a rabbit. No body parts came home with him so I'm not sure what he caught.

Nope, not one scrap. We have some cotton tails that hang out around the house and the wife has claimed them as her pets. She was pissed when I told her about what probably happened.

My rat poisoning scheme worked too well. None around the house anymore. Used to love watching the dog get after them.

Me too. My dog is crazy fast, but he over shoots them when they make sharp turns. He just carries too much momentum and they can usually get away by zigzagging to the burrow.

Had one locked in my sun room once. No escape. Prodded him with a golf club to get him out of my gas grill. Fun ensued. Cannot believe I did not record that. Not sure I would have been fast enough anyway.

The chase is the best part anyway. The oak tree that over hangs his dog pen is one of the favorites for the local squirrels and they torment him when he's locked up. He sits by be sliding glass door on the back and watches for them to hit the ground, then goes ape shite until I let him out.

I'd say give those dogs a treat but I think they've already got their treat.
