Has anyone done this? Kinda like a tailgait setup with tents. Want to be able to bring our gears and hang out for half the day. Does anyone know if BREC or any park that will or will not allow us to bring propane/burner/grill? Want to be mindful of any restrictions. Thx.

Maybe Highland Rd? Each park has a manager and stuff, so give them a call

Most will allow burners for crawfish boils. Never tried a grill, but I can't really see a difference.

The problem is not allowing beer (officially). I've done it before and even had a "ranger" come by and let me know I wasn't supposed to have it there. He told me he wasn't going to do anything unless we caused problems OR if someone reported it.

We've done BBQ, Jambalaya, etc. never done a crawfish boil but have never run into any issues. My local park has a pavilion with limited electricity so we usually bring a generator.

Just do it in an LSU baseball home weekend and go out to campus.

Allowed as long as no alcohol. However, no one is checking what is in your solo cup as long as you are being responsible. A bunch of beer bottle or cans may get you in trouble with a ranger, but you may get a pass like someone said above. Pavilions are first come first serve and get used a lot during good weather.
