A friend caught a blue lobster in Maine yesterday. Pic

She and her husband were on one of those private catch and cook excursions with another couple. Bar Harbour, ME. Apparently, they're one of the 8 rarest colors (#8). 1:2,000,000

They did not cook it of course and I believe it was segregated in a tank for possible breeding.

I once caught a blue crawfish in a creek in NW Georgia. Are those as rare as a blue lobster?

Slightly less rare than a blue lobster. More rare than a blue waffle.

I looked up the list which gives probabilities for rare colors. Man they're cool looking. Like the cotton candy at 1:100,000,000 which is the same ratio as the White albino.

They should put the blue and orange in a tank and let them secks. Then you'd have red babies. That would be insane!

We would catch blue crawdads in Bob's Creek Holler in Harlan County KY when were kids in the 80s. We always released them. They were the coolest thing, them and mudpuppies.
