Tannerite is not illegal.
YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT OFF THE SHELF AT ACADEMY!
I just found this out a couple hours ago. I was getting some new cleaning brushes and bore cleaner and there it was on the shelf right below the cleaner. A kit with four targets and enough tannerite for 4 charges...
I was quite shocked to see it just sitting there. I didn't know anyone could buy the stuff. Then, I was looking at the targets and there was Red Jacket's version of it sitting there on the top shelf.

I don't know why they raided but after watching his videos if I had to raid his house I would want AT LEAST 40 people with me! That dude is strapped!!!!!

Yea, but it's not that illogical to think. I mean it's not like the ATF has a history of frickups dating back 2 decades or anything...

Prediction: turns out there is absolutely nothing illegal going on there and there was very little evidence of such and definitely not enough to warrant such a large raid/show of force. This was yet again just another case of the ATF overcompensating for their proverbial small dick as an organization and another wing of the Obama administration trying to royaly screw over anybody that's a threat to their agenda.

FPSRussia's fake accent grates on my ears but I enjoy his videos. I hope he has a license for explosives because I suspect that him making money off of his YouTube channel does give the ATF a reason to raid him if he didn't have an explosives manufacturer's license (BS though that may be).
From Tannerite.com:
While the ATF ought to have much better things to do than go after him I wonder if they charge him with a crime could they convince a jury that he broke the law?
From Tannerite.com:

When combining Tannerite®, you are not required to have a license UNLESS you choose to mix the compounds COMMERCIALLY. A situation that would require a license would be if a shooting range were to mix and sell the targets for any form of reimbursement, but an individual MAY mix and shoot Tannerite® for any NON-commercial sporting purpose.

How does Bass Pro and such sell these items without the proper licenses? Is it because it is not mixed? Why wouldnt a gun range just sell it unmixed then?
