What does this mean as it relates to what your eye sees through the different scopes?

Simple.

If a certain instrument is coated to give its best light transmission for a certain spectrum of light, that's when you will "see" the best.

If a scope is coated for yellow/red spectrum you won't "see" in the absence of light in that spectrum.

By seeing I'm not talking about color, clarity, or resolution, but instead of low light performance. I think that's an important distinction to make.

Soooo........more easily put: coat for low spectrums of light.... see earlier/see later/ see when conditions are at their worst.
