I have a 2019 f150 with the ten speed transmission. It has right at 50k miles on it and just started doing the hard shifting you read about on the internet. There is a factory recall to reprogram it but i havent had that done because 1) it just started over the weekend and 2) ive been over 30k miles since i got the recall with no issues so i didnt do the reprogram. Has anyone had this done and did it help?

I had it done and it helped a little. Had it done at Robinson Ford in BR. Tech said he didn’t think it solved the problem and wanted me to bring it back the following week so they could go into it. I decided to trade it in and go a different route. Good luck with yours.

Mine isn't BAD but it still hard shifts down from 5 to 4 and sometimes up from 3 to 4 if I'm on it. I didn't realize there was a recall. Maybe I'll look into that. I've also heard some performance tunes out there help resolve that issue.

I have a 2020 that did same thing. Took it to dealer, got it reprogrammed / updated and it solves the issue.

Robinson Bros said that the software had to “relearn itself” what ever that means.

Did it 4 months ago and still working fine.

My 2016 f-150 does this when accelerating and it drives me nuts. I assume it’s the same thing y’all are talking about

It also does this cool thing, when I give it a little gas, it makes a high pitch winding sound for a split second and then takes off

Been driving me nuts and I can’t figure out what’s going on

Does it go “whoosh” or “psshh” when you let off the gas?

No sir

When I let off the gas the noise stops or if I stay on the gas long enough, the noise stops then my truck accelerates
