Got in my truck this AM (on the most humid day of 2021) and the AC wouldn't blow. Cracked my windows to get some air flowing and i could feel cold air being sucked out of the vents.

Quick online research leads me to believe the blower relay may be bad ($25 part). I will try this but are there any other things that may be causing this issue?

Thanks

Have you replaced the blower motor itself? It's a really easy job, and local auto parts store should have it in stock.

I haven’t done anything yet, happened this morning so I started researching. I’ll look into that as well. Is it behind the glove box?

I had a 2013 F150 Eco boost. I replaced 2 blower motors in the 7 years i owned that truck nothing to it. i think it is pretty common in the 2010 and up. That is my opinion after talking with several guy who have similar trucks.

I've fought this in our 2013. I'd bet dollars to donuts that your blower fan resistor is bad. It's under the glove box and a relatively easy fix. The bigger issue is, how much damage has the resistor done to the plug? They tend to get hot, deform and lose contact. This causes the fan to stop working.

I'd start by puling the resistor and inspecting it. Sometimes a good wiggle will get it working again for a while. My wife has "fixed it" enough times that she can now get it working again while we're moving.

Good luck.

Thanks gang! A local parts store has the resistor so I'll work on that tonight. If that doesn't work, I'll move on to the blower motor.

It's about a 20 min fix, with most of that time taking off and putting the glove box back on to gain access to the resistor. There are lots of youtube videos on it.

Additionally, the wiring harness from the truck to the resistor could be bad. There are aftermarket replacements kits on amazon for that plug. I haven't yet replaced mine because it involves cutting the factory harness off and I'd like to avoid that if I can.

If it’s not too late, tap the top of the blower with a hammer or a wrench. Sometimes the blower will kick on if it’s not completely shot. It means that the blower is bad and you can return the resistor. Usually, if the resistor is bad the fan will be stuck on high or low. Good luck.

what Joe said....If its the blower almost always when it first starts going out you can hit the blower with something and it will start blowing again.

When was the last time you changed your cabin filter located behind glove box? Mine was doing the same I changed my filter and now it’s blowing like it should.

It was the blower. Changed the resistor, nothing. Changed the motor, we comin.... returned the resistor.

This new one sounds like a jet engine taking off but I got cold air.
