I'd like a semi auto in black matte if possible.

What brands should I be looking at?

I bought a Tristar last year. No issues.

Pump but I shoot a Mossberg 500 super bantam and love it. Under 6lbs loaded and handy.

Best choice.

Bought my son one years ago. This past year found a regular stock for it.

Third vote for Franchi. You can have the stick cut down as I did for my boy’s.

I have Remington 1187 compact that I put a thumbhole stock on. I've been pleased. It shoots great with a Carlsons tss choke.
