Then yes, you will beat a mirage drive. Any other "fishing" kayak, doesn't have a prayer.

I can't beat your astro glide kayaks
I just thought the idea of a race after everyone is 12 beers deep would be a great idea

I wouldn't bring that boat down there.
Now, the funniest thing ever, especially after beer, is a stand up kayak race. Do you go slow and steady and try to stay in the boat or put the hammer down and try to win at the expense of falling out......
PFDs on of course.

Gaston's paddle board would dominate

I have stood up twice in my Ascend 10 footer and like I have posted before, it took every bit of coordination, athletic ability, concentration, and will to want to stand up.
This was when I was sober too.
I might have to show the OB my "slide the kayak off the bank and jump in" move. It works about 30% of the time

The 6 times I've done it, I failed so miserably one time that a woman watching started laughing as my head came out of the water

I'll video that
Please do!
Knowing how the "bank" is in that stretch of Delacroix Hwy, that's going to be Video Gold!

Depends on how many layers of plasti-dip are now on it. Bastard must weigh over 100lbs by now!

My pawpaw isn't doing so good. Going down hill fast. There's a chance I might miss at least one of the days because of a funeral.

Alright gents....
Weather is going to clear out by Friday.
When is the jambalaya cooking? Friday or Saturday evening? What other food do we need to consider?
Cooking equipment?
Let's get the plans in action.

I just need someone to bring a burner

We may need to update the first post or any post in the first page with cooking info.
I have jambalaya pots and burners, crab/crawfish pots with jet burners, fryers, and other cooking mechanisms if needed.
As of now, I'm bringing iPod and sound system. It doesn't have a tuner so if someone has a small radio with a headphone jack, bring it so we can listen to some of the games. Or if someone has a satellite/tv setup for tailgating and could bring that, that'd be clutch.
Are the cooks planning to just buy all the supplies and everyone just throw up cash on it? That works the best IMO.
