Chason’s fine and restitution is the largest ever levied against an individual in a wildlife case, according to U.S. Attorney Carter M. Stewart’s office. The sentence was unsealed on Monday. The money has already been paid.

The herds involved with these shipments were not certified to be free from chronic wasting disease, tuberculosis and brucellosis.

I have no problem with them arresting guys potentially spreading detrimental wildlife diseases

has nothing to do with the population.. It has everything to do with the potential detriment to the deer population where these imported deer come in contact with the local animals

Puts a black eye on the deer breeding industry as a whole. Many folks hate on it because they can't see it for what it is.... then folks do crap like this just to make a dollar. Too many stupid people in this world.

What is it other than a revenue generator?

It is a revenue generator and if people would just follow regulations there wouldn't be any problems. Some people are just too greedy for their own good.
Get your herd tested and certified, secure the proper permits and paperwork and you don't have any problems.
