You boys hanging on the side of a tree today get much respect. When I stepped out of the box into the wind to come back to camp for a warmup, it was bonechilling. I didn’t have a heater running but the wind block was a difference maker. No sightings

Didnt get to post yest evening, but when the front hit the deer were insane. Spikes and 4pts chasing like crazy, and finally an 8pt came out chasing (pike co. MS) And i took him. Not one of my biggest deer on camera, but after being off 2 weeks in shite 80deg weather and having to go back to work today.. i was more than happy to take him and get the pressure off this season.

Sunny and low 40s.
box looking at 2 planted lanes in a small cut over.

Fair weather has the locals out target practicing and running heavy machinery. They don't miss a day to make a whole bunch of noise.

28 and still
Sitting on the edge of our field and woods. Saw a ton of deer moving earlier by the house, 24 to be exact, so hopefully one gets careless and comes near me.

Ended up seeing 10 does, 8pt, 7pt, 2 pigs, and a Fox total today. Probably put 3 miles on my boots.

Son saw 7 does.

Back at it tomorrow for the last sit maybe of the season trying to get little man his buck. He’ll be in his favorite spot and I’ll be trying to shoot a pig

Man, I had two lengthy sits and saw nada. Trying to figure out if they decided not to breed this year, still no rubs or scrapes or sniffing, bucks feeding nose to nose at night with no sign of aggression. At least a week to 10 days past when we would normally see activity. I’m hunting a big whonky 3x1 that needs to come out of the gene pool.
