Yes. My brothers both killed 2ea mature deer last weekend.

Ever since that mainframe 10pt busted me 3 weeks ago I’ve passed on several nice deer but kicking myself in the arse now for not taking one of those deer. Been holding out hope that 10pt would show his self in daylight again but hasn’t.

I may see if I can rattle/ grunt him in Sunday morning. If not I’ll shoot one of the mature deer I’ve been seeing lately. I plan on hunting Friday until the end of muzzleloader.

I know a lot of people think rattling is stupid (I was one of them) until my older brother made me a believer. He rattled in those 2 buck he killed last week and has killed several nice bucks the last 6 years doing it. Dad was never into rattling so we grew up not doing it. It was something my brothers father in law taught him before he passed and he’s had great results. I’ve always been scared of spooking them but will give it a try.

We have a couple of tractors for bushhogging and fixing the food plots.

How is y’alls timber? We have a lot of mixed hardwood and pines with a small amount of cypress. Do you guys do hay bails or anything else for revenue?

We have a hunting club lease on our land to help with the management of it.

There is just so much that needs to be done to the property. I would just want to do just two deer drives besides 4/5 a season.

I like a grunt-snort-wheeze before I start rattling. If they’re close, they may come before you make a lot of noise with the horns.
