Every night starting at 8pm CT, you had live events, we watched a ton of live skiing. 8pm to 12. If you wake up early there were still live events until abt 7am. So there were live events after dinner and during breakfast. Not bad times for live events.

For example, more Japanese are skiing last week after watch the Olympic game. This is the best year for the ski resorts.
China will have 300 Million people to participate the game. This will create construction jobs, training/coaching positions, equipment makers.
Some remote cities in North China already benefit from this Olympic. Tracks are built in the village. People are flying there to have fun.
Of course, more hospitals are built there too since more injuries are reported so far.

Yes. France is a Western Country. Share the same value. But as a country (one of the five permanent members in UN security council), France has its own agenda and ambitions.
France has great influence in Africa and Europe.
France is not going to dysfunction IOC which it has great influence and play the 3rd or 4th fiddle to a new-IOC controlled by US (UK, Canada will be the 2nd and 3rd with tighter relationship with US)
Current situation is best for both France and China.
US/American Companies pay the bill.
China and France use IOC as the platform to increase their exposure.

I hated the NBC coverage. CBS was a lot better back in the day.

The fact the communist Chinese forced NBC to tame Johnny Weirs outfits was the biggest outrage of the entire games.
Plus the Russians & Canadian Communists outmedaled us. This wouldn’t have happened under Trump.
