This 5K is like Mary Decker Zola Budd 1984. Almost a trip and fight with 2 laps to go.

At least we can stay within a few seconds of the Africans now. Growing up our runners weren't even in the picture during the final lap.

I know this is the Olympics and it's supposed to be normal.
But I can't help but think about how outreous it is to run a 5k in 15 minutes. My pb for the 5k is 29 minutes, and I was damn proud of myself for that because I used every ounce of energy I had.

No. Not on last lap. Barefoot Zola swung the leg a few laps earlier. I was 13 and a houseful of kids screamed bullshite in front of our parents

So the web is showing that they penalized all but 1 African. Is that right??? Cheetah- Netherlands- Italy are showing as the medal stand.
