These races are fun to watch but there is way too much room for frickery by the judges. Hungary got screwed out of a Gold in the 1000m. China of course gets moved up to gold. At least when there's been frickery by the US it's been in the housing bid not screwing athletes over to benefit our own.

And what in the hell happened to the US Men's program? I don't think I've seen one man make a finals yet.

I just saw it; pretty sure Patrick Peterson got an interception along the sideline… weren’t even trying to hide the fix

US men's short track is really just Apolo Anton Ohno. He has all our golds and outside of relays, I think we only have two other individual medals. That really is the Korean and to a lesser extent Chinese stomping ground. It apparently has a lot to do with body phenotypes and easy to see when those countries don't do well in long track where the US, Norway, and The Netherlands have been the most dominant.

The Koreans got absolutely hosed… just unreal how they handed the gold to China

Korean players have a habit to push/pull skaters in the track. A lot complaints from Last Korean Winter Olympic. The Sweden players even made a "sweeping the podium" gesture before took the medals 4 years ago.

ISU asked China installed the better camera: The white fast moving cameras that you see on TV.

The judge look at the video and disqualify people. Vincent Liu and Korean players are caught pushing people off.

But judging by video is not good for the game. If NFL is referring the games using slow motion, you will see holding on every play.

Hope they can find better ways to do it. Maybe put players in different tracks.

Is NBC trying to sell Binne as the top US Ice Derby racer? I thought Santos was the top girl.

The Chinese skater had the equivalent of a defender slamming the QB at the feet of the referee. That was pretty blatant. I don't know all of the rules of short track...did they DQ the Korean because he ruled his skate up at the line?

Just as ridiculous was them restarting the race halfway through. Add a lap (so they can get up to speed), stagger their starts by where they last crossed the starting line, and finish the race. NBC even commented that skating over 1500m in a 1000m final gave the Chinese a big advantage.
