How many organisms died long ago to produce that amount of oil?

There is a theory that oil may not be a fossil fuel, fwiw. The theory suggests it is a natural substance formed in the Earth's mantle.

in the same strata that was deposited at the same time as all the rest of the oil on the earth?

I don't even know what this means. I didn't create the theory, just saying that it is out there. The theory has been around for some time.

So has the theory that the sun and moon are Gods that race across the sky in chariots.

But like your theory, it was debunked long ago.

that just seems to me that there are seeing another deposition of hydrocarbons that were burried before the ones we are producing now?

No surprise that World Net Daily is all about that theory.

Again, not my theory. I have just heard it in passing before, actually on this board if I recall.

After some quick research, it appears that "Abiogenic petroleum origin" would not create enough oil to make deposits worth drilling for. However, it seems some people still think it is plausible that not all oil comes from fossils.

I don't care where oil comes from, as long as it makes my car go.

So much FAIL, too much. I recommend wikipedia on carbon-13. You will find it has NOTHING to do with creating hydrocarbons.

This may shock you..but you are a carbon based lifeform. In fact, as a naturally occurring isotope of carbon, you contain carbon-13! So does EVERYTHING else on Earth.
