I realize that, my point was in reference to the poster who is desperately wanting to put a line in the water....(Don't we all!!)
Just imagine how bad the commercial guys who depend on fishing for a living want to put their nets in the water.

frick
My fishing area is still closed. This time of year I spend a lot of time running timbalier bay and fishing the islands and well heads. This part of the bay is still closed and it appears that you cant fish much below leeville/little lake in the bay. Oh well maybe next week they will lift the rest. I do know that despite the oil the fish are plentiful and seem to be doing fine in this area.

I know one of the guys on the commission and spoke to him tonight after the meeting. He said they realize it's a very fluid situation and that more openings and closures will be made as necessary. They are constantly reevaluating.
