Oh, and tigerdup said that if there IS a leak it SHOULD be labeled on the screen for documentation ... I guess that doesn't mean that it WILL but it SHOULD be ...

I've asked for clarification. I'll post it when I get it.

on cnn they have two views (cams), one of them showing oil comming out at a rate at least 10 times what i've seen before this operation started

The shot of oil that the robot gave us coming out of the riser / the top of the BOP was truly alarming.
The camera panned up for about 40 seconds or so about 5 minutes ago.
Was it more or less than before? I have no idea.
I have tried multiple times to log onto CNN with no luck. I got the feed on NOLA finally.

Thank you for trying to clarify for us. Not that my need to know this will change anything.
I am just so sad for Louisiana. Tears in my beer sad.

In my SO non expert opinion I agree with Fred's opinion ... looks like a top view of what's coming out of the riser ... just seeing it from the top rather than the side.

No this means the pressure from the well is going down meaning that the leak is probably SLowing down...
I guess it could be either way.
I know in cementing operations if there is a drop in pressure it usually means something is leaking. Most of the time it is a easy fix.
