I think back to when Katrina came in on New Orleans a few years back... and all the outrage by the left wing libs and people of New Orleans on Bush and FEMA for not being down there within a week of the disaster happeneing... So I leave this for you Ranters... WE are frickING 52 days into the worst disaster that the Gulf of Mexico has ever seen... What exactly is the difference??
God Bless Louisiana And God Bless the U.S.A.

None as far as a initial weak arse Federal Response. I would say the major difference was that the Federal Response in Katrina, once initiated, did seem to be effective.
This Federal Response by day 52.......not effective at all.
BTW. God Save the USA!

dirt you make too much sense for Washington. for starters the Stafford Act states the states have to be in charge of the response with respect for hurricanes. this is a bp and federal issue and its way more the same. all you are hearing from the libs is we need to get off oil bullshite and no solutions.

difference is natural vs. man made disaster
With natural there is a sense of compassion by all. For man made not so much.
BP is the responsible party and will be paying 100% of the bill.
