The fallacy in this whole discussion is that we assume all of these people really want jobs.

If everyone was really desperate for a job there would be no need to hire illegals to clean up the oil mess.

I'm trying to get a job in the cleanup and the company I applied through says they are waiting on BP to request manpower.

WTF???

this is why i would never consult for BP. they constantly do things on the cheap. you should make bank and i encourage you stay on them

Many of these companies that have cleanup contracts with BP are coming in from Texas which is practically Mexico anyway so this makes sense.
