i'm not sure if it can be done, but if someone could add that "gallons leaked as of" graphic to the top of the board page that would be awesome.

Article never said it was confirmed that it's from the spill. I read somewhere else that these are common for the area. Don't have a link, I don't remember where I read it. I'm pretty sure it was a link or thread from this board.

Except for Mosquito's at night, one of the most peaceful week's I've experienced was on Dauphin Island.

That's estimated gallons leaked.
And by estimated, they do mean completely made up.

concerning balls of black tar: i worked for B.P in production for 20+ yrs. we had a well at a site that produced a thick tar like substance. i recall in a conversation with our FF, that that we may be able to produce enough of this stuff to pave a few roads south of I-10. so, is it possible that this could happen and, i say yes. many of you should be ashamed pf your lack of knowledge and also you should not be of turning your heads to such a potential environmental hazard, so close to your homelands.
yet so far away from the Gulf Coast, you can read things like this!!!

I don't have any idea what you are trying to say here. Are you drunk?

There's so much of this going around. The majority of conversations go something like this:
Environmental Hack - I sure hope BP goes bankrupt overt this oil spill. This is easily the worst disaster in Louisiana's history.
Me - Valid points, well put together argument, and a knowledge base from having worked from the inside of the situation.
Environmental hack - Why do you hate nature? Do you not care about this state?
Me - FML.

I loved your little example. I've had that conversation many times.

Because my biography on TD.com tells my whole story, right?
This is the kind of retarded retort that I was talking about in my example.
Everyone on this board is blabbing about economic impacts and what they "know". No one knows anything yet. Models (at least legitimate ones) have not even been created yet.

For one, I have never claimed to know everything about the oil and gas industry. Please link to one post where I said that.
What is your area of expertise?
And do you know what an offshore dispatcher does?
And also, I was an offshore dispatcher in 2007. Just because you read something that I put on there almost 2 years ago, doesn't mean shite can't change.
I work in well planning for the cased hole west division of a major oil company.
What makes you so god damn high and mighty to call me out when I've hardly directed any post in your direction?
I've given only accurate information, and if I didn't know specifics, I've said that, and have asked others with more experience to chime in if I was wrong.
And point out where I claimed that I knew everything.
Otherwise, I'm gonna RA this piece of shite for calling me out.

oh my god dauphin island has been hit with 6 tar balls. run run like hell. This is the type of journalism they use to sell more newspapers. You must be a reporter.

Exactly. I ask you multiple questions, and you can't respond to anyone. You can call someone out, but you can't provide any accurate information when put on the spot.
You're not even a flamer. You're a pathetic wanna be. You've never contributed anything to this board that holds any water, or any accurate information.
Thanks for showing the whole board what a frick up you are.
