Dumb for the guy to say. Bennett is a dummy though imo. She would go to protests and try and piss people off and then say "you know I'm carrying, right?" when they raised their voice. It's dumb to announce that you are carrying and certainly makes you look stupid if you try and make people mad and then announce you are carrying.
