If there is one man not allowed to cry in this country it is the POTUS.

Other than that....

Every day I wake up thinking he can't do worse... And then he does.

I respect the office but not the man that currently occupies it.

W didn't even cry after 9/11, and that is 100x more emotional than anything Obama has dealt with.

MOTHERfrickING THIS!

this guy gets it.

Totally different and in no way more likely to evoke tears. At that point in time, America as a whole was grieving and needed the president to show terrorists that an attack on America meant that hell would be the price. An outside force could not see us as weak when that was the goal. In this case, Obama is talking about the undeniably rampant use of guns by our own populace against innocent people of our own populace. It's a different message and a different audience is watching. Terrorists are not the audience.

First, I'm sure Obama has had to wrestle with his own conscience numerous times for civilian casualties due to airstrikes and other uses of force.

Second, don't get me wrong, what he did was manipulative and purposeful in the same way W's near tears yet steely resolve was manipulative and purposeful. I'm just saying that crying on TV for the audience he was trying to reach was not an act of weakness. He's a first rate politician, whether you like his policies or not, and he knows how to play the audience.

What dingleberry made up THAT rule?

You dimwitted haters can't even your criticisms straight. Was he acting or was he weak? You can't even conjure up a coherent attack.

Obama is a great man who cares about people. I know that's a foreign feeling to Republicans such as yourself but you don't have to make up bullshite standards on the fly just to make yourself feel better about your own callousness.

I was wondering when the village idiot would show up. If there are two words that don't go together at all, it's "Obama" and "great". Unless the word "a-hole" goes along with them.

Have a downvote.
