Damn, I just lost a hell of a post due to the outage. I ain't typing all that shite again.
Cop called me parents instead of jail when I was young, drunk, and stupid. EBRPSO
My worst cop stories are prison guards, not sure if they count. I've seen them probably kill a man. The dude was drug off unconscious and never seen again but that's not unusual in jail.

Worst: I have several bad ones, but one sticks out.
I was visiting a relative at whatever Charity turned into after Katrina... University Hospital or something generic like that? Anyway, I had my kid with me, maybe 10-12 years old. I asked the cop in the lobby if I could bring her up to the room with me. Cop asked her age, and I was honest, and it turned out she was barely under the age limit. Fine. I'll send flowers.
The way this guy responded really rubbed me the wrong way, though. It was something like, "she's too young to go up, and if you leave her down here you'll be arrested for child endangerment."
That was just too much for me. People I tell this story to don't "get" why I would care about it, but it just sort of hammered home the fact that, living in New Orleans, I am a decent person in a place that's not for decent people. I mean, do I fricking look like I'd leave my daughter in the lobby of a charity hospital?
I got out of LA not too long after that, and that should not have been a major factor or "the last nail in the coffin," but it kind of was.

In the 80's, I was driving my Jensen Interceptor southbound on Highway 75 out of Sherman (highway is built like an interstate). I was going 85ish, northbound state trooper lights me up and hits the median to cross over and stop me.
It had rained a lot the day before and I looked in my rear view mirror and saw him get stuck in the median. I figured the car was odd enough that I'd likely get stopped down the road, so I turned around and the next exit. When I got back to where the trooper was stuck, another one had stopped. I got out and told the state trooper on the shoulder why I came back around (the trooper in the car had stayed in the car, probably to dodge all the mud).
The trooper laughed and said that the guy was a "know it all" and that he'd never live this down. He sent me on my way.

Got pulled over last weekend.
5.0:Where you going?
Me: town over
5.0: you need to be going to DMV
(Me thinking got a real douche)
Me: why ?
5.0: (points to registration shows it's expired) your registration is expired
Then turn for positive 5.0 tells me to take care of it and have good day
I didn't really take bait when he was being a douche. I guess I just really didn't care give a ticket or not was my thought
I guess that was positive

I was driving in Sherman Texas during the Christmas holidays. I stopped at a four way stop to turn right. Sherman PD car was on the other side signalling a left turn. My tag was expired so I signaled for the cop to make his turn ahead of me.
When I make my turn, the cop pulls over to the shoulder, lets me pass by, then pulls me over. I thought I was going to get a ticket - he gives me a "Courteous Driver Award" for being polite and letting him go first. I got a 50 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Got caught parking with my girlfriend in high school. During the 70’s. By a cop that wanted us to have sex in front of him. We were both naked. I told him to get fricked and to get on that radio in his car and call the Sheriff. Tell him you caught BFC fricking his girlfriend. He will know my name. ( He hunted with us, and I brought him a hind quarter every opening day ). You done fricked up. It was handled and he wasn’t a cop anymore. Years later I saw him at a bank drive in the aisle over from me. I ran to his car and got about three good licks on him before I was pulled off of him. Same Sheriff. No problems.

When I was in H.S. we were speeding down a stretch that was our local drag strip. You started at the fire hydrant and when you hit the bridge, 1/4 mile. Well there is a few box stores on this street and one night we did the strip. Behind the box store a cop was doing his patrol around them like they do. Well he catches the end of our run and pulls me over. I said, how fast were we doing when I know he didn't have his radar on me. He just sighed and let me go.

I was thinking a lot of my girlfriends would have been down for letting him watch.

I've gotten many speeding ticket over my life time and don't remember a Cop being rude.

As the Trooper was talking to me, I was looking back admiring my blue rag top.
In some circles, not making eye contact with a person in authority speaking to you is rude. Kind of surprising that escapes you, being in the Navy and all.
