Fitting punishment? Mental health and anger issue help, community service, maybe some juvie parole (if there is a thing), stern warning frkm a judge, and possibly a fine.

Jail time is out of the question for me

I don't see it as "blaming" sOceity for their short comings, or pit falls, I See it as not running from the truth. life is about timing, opportunity, luck, hard work, and for many of us, just being born into the right family. To recognize that you or I may be more blessed than the next person that didn't get born into the right situation or didn't have a parent who helped us get our job doesn't take anything away from anyone. If anything, it shows us that our own individual success is mounted on the backs of many people. There are very few "self-made" people. Everyone can credit someone for opening the doors of opportunity or showing them the ropes.

A lot of kids don't have that and don't have the access to equal and fair
Opportunity.

Of course very few people truly make it on their own, but that's not what I mean. People who take personal responsibility seriously are people that realize that they have to do their best to get out of their own way. We are conscious beings with an innate sense of right, wrong, justice, fairness, love, peace, etc. You have to stop self-defeating behavior. You have to stop giving into trivial desires. You have to stop putting down your women. You have to stop empowering rappers who idolize pushing drugs and taking lives. You have to stop looking at yourself as merely a product when you're much more than that. Is it tough to do this without support? Yes. However, even if you do have support, the only person who can stop self-defeating behavior is yourself.

We can't all act like "we don't care who did the act" and live in this color blinded utopia when life and death statistics suggest that we are far from a color blind society.

The Law of the Land, above all else, should be the ultimate equalizer. Everyone should be either treated 1) fairly within all their established rights or 2) with all the same deferrental treatments the next man gets. Everything else in our society, IMO, then becomes subjective. But we don't even have color blind sentencing, so why should anyone trust that theyll do the right and best thing If they lock up that girl

People act like protesters (I'm deviating a bit) are protesting for food stamps, welfare checks, handouts, your money, Etc. No, they are protesting to get equal treatment under the law. I don't even know how that is disputable to some people when there is a clearly a disparity amongst the way minoroties and whites are treated in the penal system. But according to TD, you have to be a mad angry man to notice that stark and obvious, and liberty/ideals threatening disparity. I'm not sure if we'll get there, but if we ever want to uphold our great countries ideals to it's highest potential, then one thing we could do is punish equally and fairly.

But it some how makes me
