Looks like southern Illinois is going to be ground zero for a tornado outbreak this afternoon. Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky look like they're also in the line of fire. Be safe out there today.

I don't understand my Illinois friends. Seems like a shite state to live in. As soon as the weather reaches over 45, they get tornados? frick that.

Let’s just hope one doesn’t pick up the Corona and become an even deadlier Coro-nado.

Where I live is irrelevant when you respond to partial quotes, salty frick.

If by “Southern Illinois” you really mean Northern Illinois then you would be correct.

Yep. It is looking like a classic setup this afternoon. When the SPC is using wording like, "For now we are sticking with a MDT risk, but a High risk is quite possible late in the day." you know there is major potential there.
Everything just looks primed: early morning showers and TS, clearing early with plenty if sun leading into the afternoon.

Just as in New York State. Anything north of Manhattan is considered "Upstate", whereas anything south of Chicago is considered "Southern Illinois"

Naah, most of that MDT block is south of I-80, so clearly Southern Illinois.
(Grew up a few miles north of I-90 in Northern IL).
