Friend,
The no brainer answer is Impastato’s five course meal. I always choose the Rickey Jackson crab fingers as my appetizer. The red and white pasta course is the best pasta not just in New Orleans, not just in America, but the best pasta in the world. The Romaine lettuce salad with freshly made dressing is one of the best dressings in town. An entree selection is my most difficult. Everything is great, from the chicken Parm to the fried shrimp to the veal dishes. I usually get either the trout Marcello or the soft shell crab Marcello. Either choice is impeccable. For dessert, it’s either blueberry banana pie or chocolate caramel pie. I could always skip it, but dessert is included. All that for about $30. There is not a better tasting meal or deal in town.

Smothered pork chops with rice and gravy, smothered cabbage and field peas. All day, everyday.
