I’m completely out of the loop. Is ESPN suffering from low ratings? I stopped watching them years ago.

I don’t watch ESPN and I’m not up to date on it, as you can see from my previous post^.

I think ESPN should turn into a lesbian porn channel. All of the dumb hot reporters get into a ring naked and get it on.

The "E" in ESPN does stand for "entertainment" though.

Now do the “N” of every network out there that no longer does “N” but is all about their “O”pinions and propaganda

I just dont think they care about the fallout of these things. Signaling is more important to the people pulling the strings. They are making so much money on some things, they will sacrifice others for a while

There really is no other way to explain it. Plus they lost a big portion of their fan base wil little chance of getting them back. So you cater to who is left

Disney has openly said they were "exploring strategic partners for ESPN" which is corporatese for "We fixin to sell this ish foh whatever some fool will give us!" If that comes to pass, a new owner will have to make drastic changes just to satisfy backers.

Elon should buy it, mash it together with X to generate content for X, and reform it the same way he did with X.

he African-American composition of the (ESPN) audience now stands at 53%, up from 46%.

You added the ESPN part Those numbers are only for First Take.

I don't think ESPN is only aiming at the young black male demographic. That's not a big enough portion of the population to be their target audience; if it is, then someone needs to be fired.

There trying to appeal to a certain demographic. Very risky IMO.

It’s pretty obvious who their primary demographic of viewers are. It all stems from how that “community” prioritizes sports over education, and how the boys are programmed by their single-moms to think that sports is the only way out of poverty.

And they’re the ones home all day lol

Partially agree. It's a system that is overall designed to pass that middle-average student while literally failing students who are below-average in terms of money, brains, etc...(black or otherwise) It also metaphorically fails a lot of above-average kids, too.

And the "P" stands for "Programming". Which now refers to what they attempt to do to their "customers".

Like most of the woke corporations, they refuse to admit the connection between their incessant preaching and political agendas to the cliff diving drop in viewership. They're happy to dig their heels in and claim that it's just proof that the country is full of racists and they should double down on their own stupidity.

Yep...if you classify rap/hip hop as "music", your intellect is missing something...
