treatments that are non or minimally invasive. And yes a responsible prescriber so when it is bad I can have a Vicodin. Had 20 from a root canal in February last one in bottle now. So I am not to Heath Ledger status of pill mastery.

He wants a good doc that can help him manage his pain without using surgery, injections or temporary fixes like pt. If the only other option is narcotic pain meds, he is willing to "settle" for that.

Eta: He wants a doc to prescribe him vicodin based on an old MRI and his subjective complaints.

How are they supposed to treat you if they don't what the problem is?

Any reputable pain management dr or Nuero is going to require a MRI before they treat you.

Dr. Skaribas in Katy,

What have you heard? He reviews poorly. But they all do. Pain management patients have axes to grind if they get cut off or if they get busted doctor shopping.

I have them. If they are too old I am willing to have another. I have no problem with an MRI.

don't walk into the dr office with an 11 year MRI. That screams "pill head" right away.

Skaribas doesn't have the best bed side manner but is an excellent doctor, so is everyone else on my list, they all want to fix you minus pills if possible, they are all interventional and shots are one of the first steps in the treatment algorithm, there goal is to get you off meds. They all do drug screenings.

I am willing to have another MRI. I am willing to do PT. I am willing to look into ESI's but he will have to sell it.

Why not just go to your current doc or another reliable doc and follow their treatment plan? It really looks like you are looking for someone to tell you who will write you a vicodin script as easily as possible.

2003 cervical radiculopathy. Found and love Mckenzie therapies. And traction. Tougher to use these on lumbar and thoracic.

I hear you. You want your problem fixed once and for all. Tired of partial fixes every year or so. Surgery is way out of the question. Looking for a close-to permanent solution without going under the knife.

Go with the pain management guys who specialize in this sort of thing, who also have PT on-site. Sadly, a large portion of the people who come in to places like this are chronic pain patients, chronic work comp cases, chronic plaintiff personal injury cases. I suspect you could have a better outcome than the rest of them based on what you have told us thus far.

Good luck.

ETA: Saw your post. Keep doing the McKenzie exercises, you can do traction to some extent........by lying on your belly over a big therapy ball,....see how that works for you, but that will target mostly the low back. There are portable cervical traction units available that are very good.

Bump to update.

Been doing pretty good. I read through thread. I have had 2 MRI's. One I mentioned in 2003 and one in 2012 or so. This one was ordered by a chiro I no longer go to. More of a workmans comp chiro. I see another chiro here who has in house massage as a standard pre adjustment treatment.

umm..ok first off people are trying to get answers from you, but you wont tell them..you keep asking where the best "docs" are..one guy even told you a list of doctors to go see..but he didnt give you an answer you wanted to hear, you didnt hear writes pain pill scripts, so you kept the thread going.

Id be willing to bet any amount of money you are a closet pill head..tell everybody you only take one or two every once in awhile. Because you are screaming drug seeking behavior to me. Because you are writing just like i used to..and yes i used to be a drug seeker..you are trying to manipulate your way on getting the answers you want but people are calling you out on it..just like i am. but whatever dude..keep on trying to be "legit"
