What's yalls opinion of the new yamaha sxs? Know anyone that has one?

Doesn't seem like that bad of a price compared to others out there but not sure if it's a POS

Yamaha motorcycles are historically some of the most reliable bikes made. I have owned several and it is hard to break them. Great motors.

Now saying that mine will freaking break down today.

Agreed.
And their rhino started the sxs movement.
But this new bike is something that they haven't ventured off into until now.

It's ok. But not as good as the Suzuki abc2000.

That transmission is an expensive repair waiting to happen.

It is going to crunch if pushed hard.

If they were dead set against a belt, they could have done a 4speed style similar to Honda's auto.

Given the weight of these motors and trans, it's a matter of time before someone runs an inline 4 with an aisin trans.

A suzuki 1.6 with an a340 is under 350lbs.

Drove one in PA. It's badass. I can't justify the price when I like to ride tight woods. I would hit a tree with it it's so wide.
