Just my thoughts but the Soviet’s were at a weak point and a delay would have allowed them to get stronger more industrial and more prepared.

I do agree hitler bit off more than he could chew.

100%. The RAF was all but done for with the attacks on installations, radar, etc. It was that fateful switch that was done in retaliation to the Brits bombing a German city. With that switch, it gave the RAF time to regroup. However, they just needed a little longer and then with no RAF for cover, that would have been all she wrote.

Too late, Stalin would have time to consolidate his defenses.

The problem was that Barbarossa was too late, not too early. Hitler spent too much time dicking around in the Balkans trying into pull Mussolini's arse out of the fire.

This is one of the most complex and multi factor military hypotheticals ever posted here.

I love it and wish I had time to weigh in, but great question to ponder.
