With NXT moving to USA Wednesdays, it’s being HEAVILY speculated that Vince will put his hands on the NXT product. This is basically worst case scenario for NXT and Trips. Trips isn’t dumb enough to challenge Vince, and I think the reason you don’t see any of his imprint on RAW/Smackdown is because he knows it’s best to lay low with Vince. The other questions are “does NXT even have the horses to do 2 hours live a week?” and “how much will this affect the takeovers, which are often special because we don’t see these guys wrestle each other 5 times before Takeover?”

The last haven for anything worth a shite in WWE is in serious peril. I’m at a 10. I can’t see how this helps NXT AT ALL.

About a 4.

I think Vince is going to still be focused on Smackdown and the Fox deal as well as the XFL.

HHH built NXT and I don't think he will just hand it over. Moving this to USA is a direct challenge to AEW and they know the demographics of the audience will be a little different than Raw/SD.

I am a little worried about Takeovers and the amazing builds. I don't think they could tell a story like Gargano/Ciampa on a USA Network show.

The latest word I've seen is that Vince will not be involved unless AEW starts beating them. The real issue is WWE overkill. They'll have Raw, Smackdown, and the new talk show all on tv, plus 205 Live and Main Event on the network. That's a lot of weekly shows. AEW will be different enough that they'll have their own audience.

Another difference is the presentation. Supposedly they're looking at different venues so the show isn't just from the little Full Sail studio every week. Having a few hundred people in a studio doesn't look as good as AEW having a few thousand people in an arena.

Currently NXT has all but one of the Metzler 5* rated matches that WWE has this decade. And NJPW has more than that in the last two years alone.

If (when) Vince screws up NXT like the rest of his product, at some point he has to cut back and it will probably be the first to go to keep Raw and Smackdown brands alive.

I think the small venue for NXT was a huge advantage. They were able to connect with the crowd and it is a lot easier for those who are trying to develop mic and promo skills.
