WWE Monday Night Raw Thread: The Champ Kills A King Edition

Before we get on to tonight's show preview... you should've heard by now that as soon as Smackdown faded to black on Friday night, Drew Gulak's WWE contract was over and he is now free to go wherever he'd like in the wrestling world.
Gulak's contract expiring seems weird b/c he's still involved in a key storyline currently ongoing on TV, and even had a very good match during Friday night's episode in the quarterfinals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament against his "pupil" Daniel Bryan (another story there involving his personal life)... 1 that would not qualify as a "squash match" in the least which goes against WWE's M.O. for someone planning to leave the company as tE would make sure that person would have no momentum left upon their departure (see: Revival, The; Ambrose, Dean; & Hardy, Matt)
From this oddity, I would imagine that WWE & Gulak's agent will continue to talk and try to get him back in WWE's good graces sooner rather than later, but until that point Gulak is free to do as he pleases professionally
Monday Night Raw is not live tonight but is from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.
B/c WWE is having a giant ratings problem during the Steve Corino crisis... Raw is bringing in the ratings ringer... Baron Corbin?
Corbin... who lost in the Intercontinantal Championship Tournament quarterfinals on Friday night now gets a chance to face WWE Champion Drew McIntyre... maybe Drew will Claymore Kick Corbin's stupid crown in half
The very prestigious WWE Women's Tag Team Championship will be on the line as Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross defend against The IIconics... will Mustafa Ali's new GTV play a role in this match at all?
But as long as Pey-Ro is on my screen... I'm a happy person
After last week's basketball exhibition went off the rails... WWE's gonna try it again... only this time in a Viking Raider special as War Machine & the Promo Profits battle in an Ax Throwing Competition
As you may have seen earlier today... Brie Bella & Daniel Bryan are apparently not in a good place in their marriage at the moment... so with that in mind... here's a pic of a pre-child Brie

Shad Gaspard from Crime Time probably drowned today. Rescuers are still looking for him.

Horrific news. Former WWE star Shad Gaspard (from Cryme Tyme) is lost at sea after getting caught in a rip tide in California. Positive thoughts that a miracle happens here. Shad directed rescuers to save his 10 year old son first. A father’s ultimate sacrifice to save his child

rip tides are crazy things
you hear how they should be fairly easy to escape if you know how to keep your head if you get caught in 1
but the mental aspect of being caught in a rip tide can be so overwhelming that they claim so many lives annually

friendly reminder that this Saturday night is AEW's Double or Nothing
again... I will probably be unable to at least start the threads for Smackdown & DoN this week due to going to NOLA for my nephew's birthday party
so if someone else wants to start those threads

I mean he is the WWE Performance Center’s favorite son.

WWE scoffed at Gulak asking for more money even though everyone who they asked to come back got more money. Kind of scummy tbh tbh tbh

I think Gibbs was waiting for 25 to get here before he solved the case. Now we can start RAW!

Hello everyone!
I would say hello back 25... but G might accuse me of gimmick infringement so I should probably hold back
Becky's preggers guys... did y'all know that?

He wanted a raise because they moved him from 205 Live to the main roster. I don't think they ever saw him as anything more than just a cruiserweight they could job out to everyone else.
