WWE Monday Night Raw Thread: F COVID, We're Doing It Live Edition

Of course, tonight's episode of Raw was always supposed to be done live, capping a weekend of fervent show tapings where WWE would get the next 5 weeks of TV into the can, perhaps also including the Money in the Bank PPV

But, card subject to Vince's whims... as was this weekend's plans. All of the tapings were cancelled at the Smackdown taping Friday as WWE decided to go back to live shows for the time being.

Why go back to live shows... the TV contracts with NBC Universal & Fox... fearing WWE could lose a bunch of money due to going over the contractually allotted number of pre-taped shows for the year

If you're looking for a dose of hypocrisy... WWE joins in on "Staying Home Saves Lives" PSAs by the Ad Council

The world has a way to catch up to you however... and it came out earlier today that an on air,non-wrestling performer, whose name was not released, tested positive for COVID-19, the first publicly confirmed case in WWE. That person has apparently already fully recovered.

Now for tonight's show, coming to you LIVE from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.

Raw's top champs will be in the house... with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre kicking off the show... while Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch will also grace us with her presence (hopefully in tight pleather pants)

Asuka takes on Ruby Riott in a qualifying match for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

You would have to assume a men's Money in the Bank qualifying match would also be held tonight

After her recent comments about wrestling... esp. the fans... I'm guessing we won't see Ronda Rousey in WWE again. Too bad it looks like we'll never get that MMA 4 Horsewomen vs. WWE 4 Horsewomen match. Unless it was all part of an elaborate, sophisticated heel promo by Rousey and her return is imminent
