Here's my thing.....there was no reason to schmooze this match....if you don't want to put the title on the Fiend then do 1 of three things: A) don't book the match B) take the title of Seth beforehand or C) tell the story of why the Fiend doesn't care about the title and why he needs to destroy Seth Rollins and make the match non-title

All of those would have been better than what happened tonight.....the live crowd showed displeasure as well even after the Fiend made his comeback.....it just makes no sense what they did tonight....if the goal is to get him to that Vorhees/Meyers character there are better ways to do that

for the 2nd straight year we've had a funky finish to the HiaC PPV

and in this 1... you have the guy who's supposed to be your top baby face have his character completely destroyed (which I think there's a way to play this in future storytelling that they're setting up)

meanwhile... yes you've made an almost indestructible monster character... but at the expense of 1 of your top gimmick matches where you've completely neutered its whole reason for existing... which is to be the final battle ground and end feuds

what other match can you possibly put Rollins vs. Fiend in now? inferno match? or maybe a Punjabi Prison match?

you could've done this match with Roman Reigns... therefore you're not putting the Universal Title at stake... and gotten the exact same result

Yeah I think I'm about done with Raw and going to be week-to-week on Fridays 8-9 on whether I switch over to LivePD or watch the 2nd hour of FNS.

At the very least, don't end the match on a weapon being used that has been used 3+ times in past Hell in a Cell matches without issue. shite, when Seth grabbed the normal sledgehammer, the huge cartoony one was right next to him. Why the hell not grab that one? Then at least in-universe there's a thought that the Fiend's head is about to get Gallagher'd all over the ring.

They should have just canceled it and moved the 4 matches to the Saudi card. Completely ridiculous how it played out. Hell keep the 4 matches but make the draft the focus of the night. I slept through the SD title match. Wife yelled at me to stop snoring and IDGAF going right back to sleep.

The only good thing about these PPVs are the rotation of dips we make that last through SD. Now we don't even have that. FML
